UL-FSRI has worked hard over the past 10 years to provide the fire service with firefighter safety research to help us learn more about the fire environment and our tactics.
UL’s Firefighter Safety research Institute is dedicated to increasing firefighter knowledge to reduce injuries and deaths in the fire service and in the communities we serve. Working in partnership with the fire service, research departments and agencies, FSRI executes cutting-edge firefighter research and makes the results widely available to the global fire community.
During the course of the last ten years FSRI has launched multiple training modules and has supplied tactical recommendations. These recommendations are the foundation for many departments is applying their tactics.
